When it comes to baby products we always want to make sure we use the products that are the right ones for ourselves and for our little ones. Also we wish to find the ones that will be beneficial for the long-term. It is no secret that baby products can vary in price and quality, and for that reason I made this article that summarizes everything, using my personal experience and the experience of countless mothers I have encountered in my work. In some products it’s worth to invest, but some of them really don’t worth the price tag. For instance some baby clothing are so beautiful and pretty but they may be way too expensive because your baby grows really fast or are impractical. For instance, a dress for a baby that is learning how to crawl on her knees.
First I’d like to talk about your baby’s personal hygiene. There is one product you’re going to use every single day from the moment your baby is born. Newborn to toddler tub. There is one I have used and found it very useful and versatile. It’s an inexpensive and fits most standard tubs. It comes with a little hammock that clips onto the frame and once your baby grows out of it, you can take it off and place your baby in a built in reclined surface in the tub. This specific tub can be used until your baby is about one year old.

Next I would like to recommend a complimentary product called Earth Mama calming lavender soap. Baby skin is very sensitive. We have to make sure we use the right products for them. This soap has no artificial fragrance no fillets no preservatives no sulfates and is non-toxic. It has some natural lavender essential oils scent which considered to be antiseptic and calming, and is especially beneficial before bedtime.

Another great newborn soap is Babygenic baby shampoo + body wash. This product also has no parabens sulfates or phthalates. It is also free of dyes and synthetic fragrances.

While it’s important we use the right diapers for our baby’s figure it is also very important to make sure diapers are fragrance free since it can cause an allergic reaction. I can’t recommend a specific brand since there are so many, and many times it’s a process of trial and error. There are places like Target that offer a complimentary baby bag with some goodies and a couple of diapers so you get the chance to try them out.

There are so many brands and types of baby wipes, and I have tried many of them. One brand stood up from many others for their quality and value per wipe. I’m talking about the mama bear 99% water baby wipes. It is by far the best valued product for baby wipes I’ve used. I buy them on Amazon, They come as a 72 count packages of six in a box (total of 432 wipes). They last forever because I don’t need to use many wipes at each diaper change (they are that good!). They are hypoallergenic and fragrance free.

Now as far as diaper rash, my philosophy is to leave the skin free of any creams or barrier and only treat the skin once it seems sensitive or red. This way we don’t have to put any cream in every diaper change. Also it leaves the skin breathing. And quite honestly it’s not that needed. We change diapers pretty frequently anyways. But whatever you choose as a diaper cream I’d like you to know about. This one is really good made by Weleda that I have used for the longest time. Weleda has been a pioneer in plant research for about 100 years. That has brought them to make the best diaper cream there is in the market. It is plant based and has high level of Zinc Oxide (%12) which functions as a skin protectant. It also has a bunch of really good ingredients in it such as Bee wax, calendula extract, Ylang-ylang oil, chamomile extract and lavender oil.

It does contain sesame oil and sweet almond oil (I can’t really know how this will affect the baby’s skin so just make sure your baby isn’t allergic) so be mindful of that. This diaper cream has proved itself various times to help with any sensitivity in genital area due to wet diaper. It works so quickly and efficiently. For tough cases of diaper rash I would use the other diaper white mellow cream by Weleda. It comes in a tube that is white and purple, cream is a bit thicker but I assure you it’s very helpful for any diaper rash cases. Surprisingly it can be used also as a sunscreen since it has high levels of Zinc Oxide that serves as a skin protectant.

Next in the hygiene section I’d like to give you a recommendation about a baby nail trimmer. This is one of the tasks that most parents struggle with. Whether it’s because their fingers are so small or your baby is moving constantly and you’re afraid to injure them. This trainer is so easy to use and so gentle, there’s no way you can injure your baby using it. It’s so easy to use and affordable and will last you for a long time.

Many parents struggle with their baby’s sleep, as up to 30% of infants don’t reach their full sleep potential. There’s a plethora of myths surrounding pediatric and infant sleep, yet it’s a crucial aspect often left unanswered.
